A Basic Modelling Portfolio

Basic Modelling Portfolio

At the beginning of your fashion modelling career, your portfolio should include at least:

  • two head shots
  • two fashion shots
  • one full-length shot showing the proportion of your body (feet to knees, knees to thighs, thighs to waist, waist to shoulders, shoulders to the top of your head)

You can wear anything that makes you feel comfortable and flatters your figure.

A portfolio consists of between ten and twenty photos (10″x12″ or 8”x10”). Every portfolio needs a mix of shots showing different styles and locations, including outdoors and studio. You will also need at least one great body shot and one B&W head shot with minimal makeup.

Well, it looks like I am off to Brisbane next weekend (not this one) to photograph a new model. Hope it all pans out, as it is all sounding quite exciting and excellent at present. The idea we are discussing should look awesome. So, fingers crossed......

A couple of weeks ago I took a long drive to Queensland for the weekend.  While there I worked with two models that I have not worked with before.  I had a great time and got lots of great shots.  I am working through them now and should have some to upload in a week or so.

I think I broke my side notes....  Yes, I did, but I found a workaround so they are fixed again.

Just as an aside and completely off topic, I can now write side notes.  YAY!!
